Happy Sunday Everyone, We will be looking into Elements of singing where we have  breath as the major one follow by posture,sound production, resonance and articulation


BREATH : is the air powering your singing and controlling the inflow and outflow of air requires the skilled use of breathing muscles and organs. Which include the trachea,lungs,diaphragm, ribs and abdominal muscles.

The major singing problems comes from lack of sufficient breath support and excessive muscular tension.

One of the solution to your voice problem is breath management, it affects your intonation, tone quality, sustaining power, range, dynamic, expression, flexibility,phrasing and stylistic
I will tell you if you want to learn how to sing better learn to breath better, Because breathing is the key point to singing, you may have a great voice with bad Breathing habit my dear friend, you won't last😄😊😊.

We have different breathing styles but the most effective one is abdominal breathing
Here is the starting exercise: Silent inspiration of air
• Quick inspiration and slow exhalation of air in a rhythmic pattern
• Relaxation and expansion of the lower ribs and abdominal area on inspiration
of air
• A focus on the lower part of the body for breathing during speaking
• Little or no movement of the upper chest and shoulders on inspiration of
air
• A focus on exhalation of air rather than on inspiration so that inspiration is automatic and relaxed
• Release of breath either simultaneously with or just before the onset of voice - not too early or too late
• Pausing as soon as there are signs that you are about to run out of breath so that inspiration of air will occur automatically for the next phrase
• Regulation of breath supply to coordinate with the length of phrases – take sufficient air in for the amount you wish to say in each utterance
